My personal interpretations of the lyrics in “The High Road” by Broken Bells
For those cynical about the ending of a beloved show:
“It’s too late to change your mind/you let Lost be your guide”
For those cynical about theists:
“It’s too late to change your mind/you let god be your guide”
For those that are pissed at themselves for feeling things:
“It’s too late to change your mind/you let loss be your guide”
The actual lyrics, which I just learned, and are probably more TOPICAL or RELEVANT but are just disappointing to me:
“It’s too late to change your mind/you let laws be your guide”
UPDATE: it might be, “you let loss be your guide.”
Regardless, I refuse to acknowledge the rest of the lyrics, and I will always sing, “you let Lost be your guide.” Because I did, dammit.
